How to Download and Use Archibite Vector Products

Our vector assets are designed to make your architectural drawings, diagrams, and presentations easier to create and more visually engaging. Every pack includes multiple file formats, giving you the flexibility to use your assets in different software and workflows.

Follow this guide to download your files and get started.

1. Download your files

After completing your purchase, Shopify's Digital Downloads system provides access to your downloadable files.

  1. Open the download link provided after your purchase or in your order confirmation email.

  2. Download the ZIP file to your computer.

  3. Locate the downloaded ZIP file in your Downloads folder.

  4. Extract or unzip the file to access the included assets.

Tip: Keep the extracted folder somewhere easy to find so you can quickly access your assets whenever you need them.

2. Understand the included file formats

Each Archibite Vector product typically includes three file formats: AI, PNG, and SVG.

AI — Adobe Illustrator

The .ai file is the main editable vector file. It is ideal for working with the complete asset collection and making customisations.

Use the AI file when you want to:

  • Edit or customise the vector assets.

  • Adjust colours, shapes, and sizes.

  • Arrange multiple assets into a composition.

  • Prepare graphics for architectural presentations and diagrams.

The AI file is designed for Adobe Illustrator and compatible software. Depending on your application, some editing features may not be fully supported.

PNG — Ready-to-use images

The .png files are raster images that are easy to insert into many applications.

Use PNG files when you want to:

  • Quickly add an asset to a presentation or document.

  • Insert graphics into Photoshop or other image-editing software.

  • Place visual elements into layouts without editing the original vector artwork.

PNG files are convenient for quick use, but they have a fixed resolution. Enlarging them too much may reduce image quality.

SVG — Scalable vector graphics

The .svg files are vector graphics that can be scaled without losing sharpness.

Use SVG files when you want to:

  • Resize assets for different layouts and presentation sizes.

  • Import graphics into compatible vector-editing applications.

  • Use lightweight vector artwork in diagrams and other graphic compositions.

SVG compatibility varies between applications. Some programs may require you to import the file rather than open it directly.

3. Choose the right format for your workflow

Not sure which file to use? Here's a quick reference.

  • AI: Best for detailed editing and customisation in Adobe Illustrator.

  • PNG: Best for quick drag-and-drop use in presentations and image-based workflows.

  • SVG: Best for scalable graphics and compatible vector-editing workflows.

You don't need to use every format. Simply choose the one that works best for your project.

4. Add the assets to your project

Once you've selected your preferred format, you can start incorporating the assets into your work.

For architectural presentations: Use PNG files for quick placement in presentation slides, diagrams, and layouts.

For graphic editing: Open the AI file in Adobe Illustrator to customise the artwork, or use a compatible application that supports the file.

For vector-based workflows: Import the SVG files into compatible software when you need graphics that remain sharp at different sizes.

The exact import process depends on the software you're using. Always check that the asset appears correctly after importing it.

5. Troubleshooting

I can't open the ZIP file.

Try extracting the file using your computer's built-in archive utility. If that doesn't work, try a ZIP extraction application and make sure the download has completed successfully.

The AI file won't open.

AI files are designed for Adobe Illustrator. If you don't have Illustrator, try opening the SVG or PNG versions instead, or use another application that supports the relevant format.

My PNG looks blurry.

PNG images have a fixed resolution. Try using a smaller display size or selecting a higher-resolution asset if one is included. For scalable artwork, use the SVG or AI version in compatible software.

The SVG looks different in my software.

Different applications interpret SVG features differently. Try opening the file in another SVG-compatible application or use the PNG version if you need a quick, consistent result.

My download link isn't working.
